Lochside Accounting was founded by Thomas Grant MacDonald, a professional QuickBooks bookkeeper and CFO for multiple startups. Thomas holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Thomas has been knee-deep in bookkeeping for years, helping over 1,000 business owners get their finances in order. He’s the kind of guy who loves untangling messy records and turning them into something clear and manageable.

A self-proclaimed nerd for systems and software, he’s always hunting for better ways to make businesses run smoother, and he never says no to learning something new.

As a USAF veteran, Thomas developed a knack for staying calm and organized, even when things get intense. He’s a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, bringing top-notch skills to the table.

Since January 2025, he’s been a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. He’s also a 50% owner and CFO of a startup, so he knows how to plan money for growing businesses.
